Kundalini Yoga

Get ready to raise your vibration, enliven your senses, and experience this one of a kind style of yoga. In Kundalini yoga, you’ll cultivate deeper awareness of yourself through a precise combination of more subtle aspects of yoga and yogic practices (asana, bandhas, pranayama, mantra, mudra, and meditation). Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga takes relaxation to the next level. Experience this gentle, nourishing and deeply relaxing practice designed to dissolve stress, ease tension and soothe your nervous system. Postures are passively held longer in durations and designed to open your hips, legs, shoulders and spine. We integrate the use of yoga props to fully support the body so that you can feel completely at ease and comfortable in each pose. We’ll guide you through breathing and mindfulness practices to promote relaxation and we’ll incorporate other various therapeutic elements, including essential oils, touch assistance (with permission), and soothing music with dim lighting. You’ll leave feeling destressed and recalibrated body, mind and soul!

Deep Stretch

Exactly as it sounds, Deep Stretch is your go to class to stretch, release tension and reset from head to toe! Each class consists of passively held postures, longer holds, paired with deep breathing techniques all designed to target the release of connective and deeper muscle tissues. This class is perfect for anyone looking to increase mobility and flexibility, prevent-injury, improve performance, maximize recovery, while promoting calm and relaxation to the nervous system.

Get ready to strengthen your core and tone your entire body! Pilates is a mat-based form of exercise and body conditioning developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, mostly as a method of recovery for dancers. Classes encourage concentration on each movement while maintaining engagement in the abdominal and low back muscles. The focus is on muscular strength, mobility, breath control, and alignment. This is an active class, accessible for all levels. You’ll leave stronger but not too sweaty!

Danja Yoga comes from an open -hearted call for human connection, compassion, and learning to love the world just as it is. We believe in the value of each person as an individual and collectively as a community.

Come for the Yoga. Stay for the community.

Our logo begins to tell our story without words. It features Eight orange dots representing the Eight Limbs of Yoga , the Eight-fold Buddhist Path, and the Eight Danja Core Values. Grey circles wind their way through these dots, symbolic of our multi-directional lives and paths. Though these paths often change course, we can always come home to the practices of yoga and meditation. Our name combines the passions and teachings of our founders, Daniel and Jake. Together, they created Danja Yoga.

Danja Yoga was founded with the goal of making yoga accessible to all. These practices have changed our lives and we are eager to share our passions. When we work to create light for others, we naturally light our own way.

Our scholarships. How our community gives.

Whether it's a friend, family member, or even yourself, cancer touches all of our lives at some point. Studio co-owner, Daniel Sernicola's mother Sue Sernicola passed away in July of 2021 after a lengthy and courageous battle with small cell lung cancer. Thoughout her fight, she enjoyed the practices of yoga, meditation, reiki, and aromatherapy. Shortly after her diagnosis, she received a phone call from an organization offering to pay for 100% of her treatments. This kind gesture alleviated the heavy financial burden and gave her hope. We'd like to pass this hope on and are proud to offer FREE classes to anyone who is currently being treated for Cancer. Please contact the studio for more information.

Yoga and mindfulness provide LGBTQ youth with opportunities for self-affirmation, socialization, and self-discovery. Many times, these courageous young people are presented with an uneven playing field. Danja Yoga is proud to offer FREE classes to the LGBTQ youth of our community. Please contact the studio for more information.

Compassionate Addiction Recovery Experience helps facilitate recovery for those struggling with the disease of addiction, either directly or indirectly. Our CARE program provides a gentle and compassionate path to addiction recovery through the holistic benefits of gentle movement, breathing, stillness, aromatherapy, and healing energy modalities. Participants experience a deeper sense of awareness and a return of the body and mind to its natural state of balance.

We recognize that the United States is built on centuries of racialized injustice. We acknowledge the appropriation of land from Indigenous communities, the forced unpaid labor of Black people, the internment of Asian Americans, and the countless other historical injustices experienced by the racially marginalized. We acknowledge the racialized oppression that still rages around us.

As a part of our commitment to be actively antiracist, we offer a loving kindness scholarship on an as-needed basis for those who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, or otherwise Non-White.r

Yoga is an ancient sacred practice originating in India; it shares roots with Hinduism, Buddhism, and other subcontinental Asian religions. While we honor the agency of the Indian entrepreneurs who popularized yoga in the West, we acknowledge that the practice has been coopted by American corporations and currently brings profit chiefly to white American teachers. We also acknowledge the xenophobic and racist discrimination faced by Indians in America.

As part of our commitment to honor the people from whose cultural practice we draw profit, physical well-being, and spiritual growth, we offer a gratitude scholarship on an as-needed basis to Indians and Indian Americans.

Need -based scholarships support Danja Yoga’s mission to align and elevate the lives of every body through the practice of yoga. Giving back to the community through scholarship gives life to our vision to empower individuals to mindfully engage in service for the greater good of their community. Need-based scholarships are based on financial need, socio-economic hardships, and consideration of contribution to the greater good of the community.
