Mentorship Programs at Danja Yoga.

Whether you would like to deepen and refine your practice or enhance your teaching skills, the Danja Yoga Mentorship Program is for you. Our mentorship programs offer a unique opportunity for you to work directly with our teacher training faculty and master teachers. Just as our studio is responsibly eclectic, covering a wide range of styles and approaches to yoga and mindfulness, our mentoring program is broad and deep.

At Danja, we offer the opportunity to work one-on-one with our teacher training faculty and master teachers.

Our mentorship programs offer a unique opportunity for you to work directly with our Teacher Training Faculty and master teachers.

Through this program you'll build upon your existing skillset, develop new tools for teaching and supporting students, grow and expand your knowledge of yoga while building confidence in teaching various styles of yoga to a variety of populations.

Our yoga teacher mentorship program is fully customizable therefore no matter the area of study or skillset you're looking to develop, you will receive exactly the support and guidance that you need to take your teaching skills to the next level!

Included in your mentorship program is an unlimited membership to our studio so that you can have the opportunity to not only learn but also observe, assist, and practice with your mentor and our skilled teaching staff at Danja yoga.

ENROLLMENT

We accept applications on an on-going schedule. It's easy to apply. Here are your steps:

  1. Begin by contacting the studio to schedule a visit. Plan to take a class with Daniel, Colleen, Sally, Matthew, or Barbara. This gives you a sense of the  teachers’ teaching styles and agendas.
  2. Also, feel free to visit on your own! If you aren’t a studio regular, we’d love for you to come in and see the spaces and experience the energy.
  3. Send an email to info@danjayoga.com telling us about yourself and how we can help you flourish and thrive in your custom mentorship program.

SERNICOLA-HEADSHOT

Daniel is Co-Owner of Danja Yoga, teaches Vinyasa Yoga and Meditation, and is Lead Teacher on our Teacher Training Faculty. Daniel includes a mindfulness component in his classes and specializes in meditation, pranayama, and movement through yoga. His classes are a blend of traditional yoga, Vinyasa, Hatha, Tibetan, and  Trauma-Empowered Yoga, and  His classes are highly inclusive and well-loved for their physical and mental inquiry, cultivation of curiosity, courage, strength. and sense of humor.

Colleen's classes immediately instill a sense of calm, compassion, self-acceptance, and empowerment within her students. Her flow classes are infused with fluid and creative movement, intelligent sequencing, and perhaps a soft lullaby during savasana sung by Colleen herself. She takes a genuine and caring approach yoga and offers a safe and sacred space for inward reflection.Known as a teacher’s teacher, her versatility to work with all levels of students and teachers is a testament to her vast knowledge and rich experience.

Sally Walsh-Roberts teaches Vinyasa and Ashtanga at Danja and is on our Teacher Training Faculty. Her classes include playful and dynamic movement with an emphasis on presence and smart sequencing. Sally puts her soul into her classes combining her experience in various traditions of yoga. She is knowledgeable in helping students explore poses through expert verbal and optional hands-on adjustments. Her sense of humor will guide you through poses and you’ll feel immediately at home in her classes.

Matt teaches Vinyasa, Restorative, Deep Stretch, and Yoga Sculpt at Danja and is also a member of our Teacher Training faculty. Inspired by his love for movement, Matt crafts his classes striking a balance between strength and fluidity. ​​​​​​​​He enjoys breaking down poses focusing mainly on alignment and anatomy. Matt provides optional adjustments in classes (with permission) and encourages students to ease into poses. He's a teacher that will challenge you, but not push. His personality is kind, nurturing, and he's a true professional who will help you immediately feel at ease no matter what class you’re taking with him.​

Barbara teaches Slow Flow and Restorative Yoga at Danja. Her classes move at a slower pace and have a mind calming vibe and she never disappoints. She's one of the kindest and most nurturing people you'll meet and the guide you'll want to accompany you on your journey of self-care. She generally teaches the classes you'll want to treat yourself to if you're craving rest or having a tough day. Her classes are nurturing and at times she offers essential oils and optional Reiki. People leave her classes feeling taken care of and rested. Barbara provides mentorship in our yoga and Reiki Shihan programs.

Jenn teaches Restorative Yoga, Prenatal, Adaptive Yoga, and is lead instructor for our 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training. She finds the teachings of yoga ENDLESSLY fascinating, inspiring, and humbling – from the intricacies of alignment to the heart-opening spiritual philosophies. Her life centers around therapeutic practices and her classes incorporate a gentle balance of nourishment and nurturing. Jenn's specialty is working with varying populations taking a therapeutic approach to yoga. She incorporates the latest polyvagal and cognitive research into her teachings creating a safe container for all.
