We recognize that the United States is built on centuries of racialized injustice. We acknowledge the appropriation of land from Indigenous communities, the forced unpaid labor of Black people, the internment of Asian Americans, and the countless other historical injustices experienced by the racially marginalized. We acknowledge the racialized oppression that still rages around us. As a part of our commitment to be actively antiracist, we offer a loving kindness discount on memberships to anyone who self-identifies as Black, Indigenous, or otherwise Non-White. Our $90 Loving Kindness Membership auto-renews each month. A 30 day notice is required to cancel this contract. If you self-identify as BINW and would like to accept this small gesture, please visit our studio store in person.
Yoga is an ancient sacred practice originating in India; it shares roots with Hinduism, Buddhism, and other subcontinental Asian religions. While we honor the agency of the Indian entrepreneurs who popularized yoga in the West, we acknowledge that the practice has been coopted by American corporations and currently brings profit chiefly to white American teachers. We also acknowledge the xenophobic and racist discrimination faced by Indians in America. As part of our commitment to honor the people from whose cultural practice we draw profit, physical well-being, and spiritual growth, we offer a gratitude discount on class passes and teacher trainings to Indians and Indian Americans. Our $90 Gratitude Membership auto-renews each month. A 30 day notice is required to cancel this contract. If you self-identify as Indian or Indian American and would like to accept this small gesture of gratitude, please visit our studio store in person.
Whether it's a friend, family member, or even yourself, cancer touches all of our lives at some point. Studio co-owner, Daniel Sernicola's mother Sue Sernicola passed away in July of 2021 after a lengthy and courageous battle with small cell lung cancer. Thoughout her fight, she enjoyed the practices of yoga, meditation, reiki, and aromatherapy. Shortly after her diagnosis, she received a phone call from an organization offering to pay for 100% of her treatments. This kind gesture alleviated the heavy financial burden and gave her hope. We'd like to pass this hope on and are proud to offer FREE classes to anyone who is currently being treated for Cancer. Please contact the studio for more information.
Yoga and mindfulness provide LGBTQ youth with opportunities for self-affirmation, socialization, and self-discovery. Many times, these courageous young people are presented with an uneven playing field. Danja Yoga is proud to offer FREE classes to the LGBTQ youth of our community. Please contact the studio for more information.
The Fine Print
We now require preregistration for classes and cannot accommodate walk-ins. Registration closes two hours before class start time. You must cancel no less than 2 hours before class start time to have your class credit reverted. Do this online by clicking Manage Schedule. Unfortunately, if you do not cancel and do not show up, we must charge your account for a drop in fee of $20 per class - even if you're a member. We have to do this so that we can pay our teachers because they showed up for you.
Many of our workshops offer an early-bird discount to encourage early enrollment. When a workshop or series has a minimum enrollment, we note it in the description. We are not able to offer refunds with less than 24 hours’ notice. If you are unable to attend but give us over 24 hours’ notice, we are happy to issue a refund to your MindBody account, from where you can apply the credit to classes, series, or another workshop.
Some of our series classes are run as “open series,” allowing single-session drop-ins after the series has begun. These are marked with an asterisk by their titles. Prices range from $15 to $25 for drop-ins. Because of the special nature of these series, we can’t apply class passes, and unused sessions simply expire.
Schedules, teachers, prices of classes, passes, memberships, and products are subject to change without notice. Always check our website for our most current offerings.
Your privacy is very important to us. Any personal information you choose to give us will only be used to help us provide you with the highest quality services, products, and support. We will never share your personal or financial information with any other party. We do not share bank or credit card information with any outside parties.
You may PAUSE your membership for a minimum of 14 days and a maximum of 60 days per year, up to 2 times per year. You will be charged a fee of $10 each time your account is frozen.
We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before class starts. The doors will be locked at the beginning of class, and students will not be allowed to enter after the door is locked. Please do not knock on the door as that will disturb others in the class.
Danja Yoga will not be responsible for lost or stolen items under any circumstances. Please refrain from bringing valuables into the studio. The studio provides a Lost and Found area for items students may leave behind. On the first day of each month these items, including yoga mats, will be removed and donated or disposed of.
In an effort to keep everyone safe during inclement weather, we cancel classes from time to time. Level Two Snow Warnings will result in studio closure for the duration of the warning. For updates on class cancellations or holiday class schedules, please check our online schedule and social media.
Our classes require pre-registration. It helps our staff greatly with the sign-in process and make things faster for you, as well. If a class is full or waitlisted we can not guarantee a walk-in a spot in that class.
Doors to the studios open 15 minutes before class time. We promptly lock the studio door at the start of class for the safety of students and their possessions.
For all classes, students must be at least 12 years old. Additionally, students under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
Many pregnant women are able to take our classes up until their due date, but we recommend you check with your doctor before signing up.
Shoes are not worn during yoga classes. Please take your shoes off at the door and leave them in the shoe cubby area. We do not permit shoes in any of the studio practice rooms.
Please refrain from wearing heavily scented lotions and perfumes to class. Likewise, please practice "saucha" (cleanliness) by showering and keeping your clothes, shoes, and mat clean between classes. Personal hygiene is appreciated as we are often practicing (and sweating) in close proximity to each other.
