Her supportive nature, sense of humor, and genuine love for the practice will motivate you to harness your power from within, discover your truest self, and inspire acceptance and compassion for yourself and others. Megan is passionate about helping students explore their mind-body-spirit connection through breath, movement, and meditation. Expect her to encourage you to listen to your mind, body, and breath in each pose, and to offer plenty of pose variations to foster the most supportive practice in your body. Her classes are a safe space to show up exactly as you are right now, and she welcomes anything you may be carrying in your mind, heart, and body when you roll out your mat. Megan’s goal in her classes is to challenge and inspire you to find and continually tap into the unique and beautiful light that is always within you, on and off the mat.

Megan received her RTY-200 certification from Colleen O’Brien McFall and the Columbus School of Yoga at Danja Yoga.

I have been practicing yoga regularly for about a decade. As a dancer growing up, I was drawn to yoga for the strength, flexibility, and creative flow of shapes in the body. Yoga quickly became much more than a physical practice for me, and I started coming back for the introspection, self-study, and mental peace & stability the practice gives. Yoga has changed my life, and I wanted to share my love for the practice and ALL the benefits that come with it. I hope to help western culture shift away from the idea that yoga is only for a particular body type/age/ability. My teacher training gave me the education, skills, and confidence to guide the practice and philosophy of yoga to others in a safe and nurturing way, and to help my students discover what yoga means to them.

I have my 200 hour RYT Certificate from The Columbus School of Yoga at Danja Yoga.

The culture of inclusivity and diversity was an immediate draw and is what makes Danja so special for me. The warmth and thoughtfulness of the owners, staff, and teachers, and their passion for the practice and cultivating a welcome and safe space for each person who walks through the doors is truly unique to Danja.

Each class is your class – Listen to your body and mind, and move through class in a way that is most supportive for you in each moment. Let go of comparison, judgment, criticism, and be kind to yourself.

Wild Thing/Flip Dog (Camatkarasana) because I love a good heart opener, and Wild Thing is not only that, but a whole body and spirit opener. I love how fun and challenging the pose is while making me feel graceful and free. Plus, Wild Thing is just an awesome name for a pose. 😊

Being Human: The Yamas & Niyamas by Sara Adams

I played baritone in the Ohio State Marching Band!

Outside of yoga, I am passionate about getting outside and exploring + appreciating our natural world as much as possible, cats, and nurturing the meaningful relationships in my life. My favorite activities are mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, and, most recently, paddleboarding. I also love music, learning to play my mandolin, seeing live music, and having a good dance party. I especially adore spending time with my quirky, stubby-tailed cat/love of my life, Frankie. 😊
